Ingredients in alphabetical order
Skincare is all about the right combination of products and ingredients. Especially if you want to tackle a specific skin problem. But if you are not an expert, it is not always clear what works, what you should avoid or what does or does not go well together.
In this overview you will find all ingredients in alphabetical order. Per ingredient you can read what it is, what it does, for which skin type it is suitable, when you can best use it and with which other ingredients it does or does not go together. At the bottom of the page you will find an extra overview per skin need: Vitamin boost & Antioxidants, Glow & Brightening, Hydration & Barrier Repair, Firming & Anti-Aging and Exfoliation. This way you can see at a glance which ingredients make the difference for your skin.
AHA / BHA – For a smooth, fresh skin
AHAs such as glycolic acid and lactic acid exfoliate the upper skin layer and contribute to a more even complexion. They are often used for dull skin, superficial pigment spots and fine lines. BHA, such as salicylic acid, works deeper in the pores and is effective for oily or impure skin. Both acids make the skin more sensitive to sunlight, which is why they are preferably used in the evening and always in combination with SPF during the day.
Bakuchiol – For firmer skin with fewer lines
Bakuchiol is a plant-based active ingredient that works similarly to retinol, but is milder for the skin. It supports the improvement of skin structure, elasticity and the reduction of fine lines. Bakuchiol is suitable for use in the morning and evening and can be safely combined with other active ingredients, such as niacinamide and vitamin C.

Daily use in the morning and evening is recommended, often in combination with ingredients such as hyaluronic acid or panthenol.
Collagen / Vegan Collagen – For a fuller, smoother skin
Collagen is a protein naturally found in the body that provides firmness and elasticity to the skin. In skincare, collagen or vegan collagen is often used to hydrate the skin and support the skin structure. The molecules are usually too large to penetrate deeply, but can soften the skin surface. This ingredient is suitable for daily use, both morning and evening, and combines well with peptides and antioxidants.
Enzymes / Fermentations – For a soft, refined skin texture
Enzymes and fermented extracts have a mild exfoliating effect and help remove dead skin cells. They are often used in cleansers and masks and can improve the absorption of other active ingredients. It is suitable for daily use by all skin types and works best on slightly damp skin, followed by a finishing cream. It combines well with almost all other ingredients.
Lactic Acid / Glycolic Acid – For a smoother, more even skin
Lactic acid and glycolic acid are alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) that exfoliate the upper layer of the skin. They help improve skin texture and fade pigment spots. Preferably use these acids in the evening and always combine with sun protection during the day. Not recommended in combination with retinol or vitamin C if the skin is sensitive.

Mung bean extract is a plant-based ingredient that gently cleanses and has an antibacterial effect. It is suitable for sensitive or impure skin and is often used in cleansers or soothing masks. Daily use, both morning and evening, is possible. Combines well with heartleaf and centella.
